Creative Experience - Artist in Residence
Creative Connection and Wellbeing Through Art
My Artist in Residency program is a heart-led offering where I bring creativity, mindfulness, and connection in an into schools and wellbeing centres.
How It Works
As a teacher and art therapist, I’m passionate about children’s wellness and supporting young people in exploring their inner world through art. I believe creativity offers a gentle and powerful way for children to express themselves, often saying things through image and mark-making that they can’t yet find words for.
This residency is about creating calm, supportive spaces where children can build their emotional toolkit, connect with nature, and feel a deep sense of belonging. Through storytelling, simple materials, and seasonal inspiration, I work alongside schools to nurture creativity and wellbeing in a way that is meaningful and lasting.
I offer a small number of residencies in the Perth area, thoughtfully designed to fit within the rhythm of the school day. Sessions generally run once a week, across a gentle 4-week block.
Each residency is tailored to the needs of the children and the setting, with a focus on mindfulness, creativity, connecting with their environment, and emotional expression through art.
If this sounds like something your school or wellness centre would benefit from, I’d love to chat. I offer an initial video meeting or face-to-face meeting to explore how we can work together in a way that feels right for your community.

During this season of life, with a little one at home, I’m offering this residency opportunity to Perth-based schools and wellbeing centres.
Sessions are designed to fit gently around the school day, typically running from 10am–1pm one day a week, across a 4-week block.
While I’m currently focusing on my local community, I hope to open this offering more widely in the future as life allows.

Residencies are best suited to school-aged children, and I can tailor sessions to specific year levels or wellbeing groups as needed.

With permission, I’d love to take a few photos during the sessions to document the process and celebrate the children’s work. I am also a professional photographer so will always keep faces out of images or blur them if needed, and ensure any sharing follows your school’s media policy.
Keep ConnectedI wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land I live, work, and create, the Whadjuk Noongar people, Elders past, present and future. I am inspired by their art, stories and respect their continued connection to country.
